Students in this course will learn foundational concepts and methods critical to designing and evaluating AI systems. The students will learn various humancentered AI design / evaluation frameworks and critically evaluate and redesign AI systems. Students will learn governance structures, trust, and ethics in making AI human-centered, and to practicing User Experience principles on designing AI products. Students will apply evaluation methods and prototype AI systems that follow human-centered AI principles. Students will learn to collaborate across peers with multi-disciplinary backgrounds.
