This certificate provides an overview of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Mechanical Engineering and covers topics such as optimization, modeling and simulation, mathematical methods, and programming languages MATLAB and Python. Students will be acquainted with both state-of-the-art Machine Learning and Deep Learning methods including but not limited to convolutional neural networks (CNNs), reinforcement learning (RL), Transformer Networks, and Autoencoders.

1. To introduce and integrate the knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning and their application in various mechanical engineering disciplines such as heat transfer, robotics, fluids, design and manufacturing.
