Program Description

The Master of Engineering in Space Systems Engineering at Stevens prepares students for impactful careers in the space sector by delivering a rigorous curriculum that covers mission engineering, program cost and operations, satellite and spacecraft design, and a comprehensive systems engineering experience. Students benefit from a flexible structure that allows them to specialize in advanced tracks such as systems ngineering, software engineering, or data science analytics, each offering cutting-edge courses in areas like AI, machine learning, and decision analysis. The program emphasizes hands-on learning through a required project or thesis in the student’s concentration. The program encourages academic exploration with electives in emerging fields, ensuring graduates are equipped with both technical expertise and leadership skills to innovate in the rapidly evolving space industry. The program consists of ten courses (30 credits): six (6) required core courses, three (3) electives, and a project or thesis. Three of these six required core courses are selected from one of three tracks.
