Infrastructure for Business Analytics and AI

Course Description

A hands-on laboratory course exploring the physical and architectural foundations of modern computing and AI. Students examine how CPUs, GPUs, ASICs, FPGAs, and edge devices execute AI workloads, progressing from chip-level architecture through cloud-scale data centers. Weekly labs involve benchmarking hardware, programming GPUs, deploying models on edge devices (Raspberry Pi, Jetson), and analyzing the energy and cost tradeoffs of AI infrastructure. The course builds hardware literacy essential for business leaders making technology investment decisions.
