Storytelling From Myths to Video Games

Course Description

This course explores the art and science of storytelling across different media and forms, from classical myths to modern video games. Through the study of works of literature, films and video games, we will explore not only how narratives are constructed, but also how they function and transform across time and technology. We will examine various narrative types by utilizing theoretical and conceptual tools such as focalization, time, linearity, plot, characterization, and interactivity.
